Important things to know

Getting into the event
-During the day, you can enter the Syntrend mall from many entrances and take the elevators to the 12th floor.
-After 22:00, there is only ONE entrance open.  Everyone will enter through the Pumpkin door on Civic Blvd (see picture)

-We provide free drinking water during the event.  To avoid unnecessary waste, we do not provide water cups.  Please bring your own refillable container 🙂
-We do not sell drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) in the event
-You *may* bring outside drinks and light snacks.  Please don’t bring heavy meals/messy food, and please take care of your own trash so our cleaning staff can get more sleep 🙂
– NO SMOKING ANYWHERE IN THE BUILDING.  If you want to smoke, please go –> outside the building <–
-We will give you a wristband when you check in.  You must wear it on your body.  Please do not remove it.  If you do remove it, bring it to the front desk and pay NT$500 to replace it.
-Please show the staff your wristband each time you enter the event
-We only accept credit cards on our website.  We can only accept cash at the door.
-We only offer the full pass.  There is no single night pass, party pass, etc.  Please do not ask to buy anything other than a full pass.  We will only sell the full pass.

Check the –> taiwanzoukfestival.com website or the WhatsApp Announcement group for the schedule, event updates, etc <–
-Join the WhatsApp Group Chat so you can see questions and answers from other participants

-Please take care of your personal hygiene.  Bring extra shirts, deodorant, cologne/perfume.  Let’s smell good when we dance 🙂
-Respect your partner’s boundaries, and ask for consent if you are unsure if they are comfortable with something.  If someone makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please speak up in the moment if possible and report it to the staff if necessary.
-If you have a question or problem, please go to the front desk or look for someone wearing a TZF staff badge.

-Please contact artists *directly* to arrange private lessons.

Workshop Level Requirements
We do not have auditions for workshop levels.  Please assess yourself honestly and choose workshops that are appropriate for you.  Challenging yourself is good.  Joining a class far above your capability will not help you and will make it more difficult for others to learn.  Remember that “higher level” classes are not necessarily more useful for your dancing.  All of these artists are excellent at teaching interesting material at a level that can be used with a wide range of dancers!  So don’t be in a rush to go to the intermediate classes 🙂

-Open level: Less than 1 year of Brazilian Zouk dance experience, knowledge of fundamental steps such as linear basic, lateral, viradinha, io-io, lunge, simple turn, bonus
-Int/Adv: At least one year of Brazilian Zouk dance experience AND competence in fundamental head movements such as balão, peão, chicote, etc
