Schedule and Updates: Check the taiwanzoukfestival.com website or join the WhatsApp Announcement group for the latest schedule and event updates.

Hygiene: Take care of your personal hygiene. Bring extra shirts, deodorant, and cologne/perfume. Let’s all smell good when we dance! 🌸

Respect and Boundaries:
Respect your partner’s boundaries.  Do not assume that people want to dance in close embrace or that accepting a dance is consenting to any kind of sexual intention.  Communicate clearly, ask for consent. and if your partner responds to anything with physical or verbal non-consent or rejection, respect that and do not continue the behavior.

Be safe and comfortable! Respect your partners’ physical limits and comfort.  Do not force movements or repeatedly try to execute movements that are physically difficult/uncomfortable and/or above either of your skill levels.

We encourage everyone to look after themselves and the dancers around them.  You do not have to dance or continue dancing with anyone that you do not wish to.  You can reject anyone or end a dance at any time.

The best way to prevent many incidents from occurring or continuing is to be clear about your own boundaries and be willing to respond physically (creating distance) or verbally (telling someone not to do something) or by ending or rejecting a dance.  However, sometimes that is not enough.

If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please report it to our staff and send us an incident report.

Questions or Issues: If you have any questions or encounter problems, visit the front desk or look for someone wearing a TZF staff badge.

Private Lessons: Contact artists directly to arrange private lessons.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

What kinds of passes are available for TZF?

A: We offer the full pass (Fri – Sun) and the Thursday preparty pass.

Are there party passes, workshop passes, single day passes, or single night passes?

A: No, we only offer full passes, just like last year.

Why only full passes?

A: TZF is a year-long project that carries financial risks. We prefer participants who want to support the entire event. Having only one pass type also simplifies check-in and bracelet management during entry.

Can people share their pass with someone else?

A: No, each pass is valid for one person only.

Can a pass be refunded?

A: No, pass sales are final.

Can a pass be transferred?

A: Yes, we can transfer passes up to a week before the event starts. 😊

Why is your pass more expensive than xyz event’s pass?

A: Flying international artists to Asia is costly, as are their accommodations and fees. Our high-quality venue in central Taipei also contributes to the pricing. We aim to create a fantastic experience for all participants.

Special discounts for xyz country?

A: Sorry, we have one price for Taiwan residents and a discounted price for international visitors.

Wristband placement: Do I have to wear it?

A: Yes, participants must wear the wristband on their bodies—wrist or ankle—where it can’t be removed without cutting it.

Int/Adv class restrictions?

A: Yes.  See Workshop Level Assessment details here

J&J divisions this year?

A: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, All Star/ Champion.

Leader-to-follower ratio control?

A: Last year’s ratio was about 2 leaders : 3 followers. We won’t limit follower passes but aim to attract more leaders from outside Asia.

Free water at the event?

A: Absolutely! 🌊  Bring your own bottle- we don’t provide cups.

Alcohol?

A: No, but feel free to bring your own.  Please help us by throwing away your own trash 🙂

An incident involving another dancer occurred and I want to report it to the organizer.  Where do I report it?

A: Taiwan Zouk Festival Incident Report
